Affiliation

Although access to this guide is restricted to registered members of the YPO Fine Dining Network, it is not affiliated with YPO in any way. This guide was developed and is maintained by members of the Fine Dining Network in the spirit of servant leadership, as a benefit to fellow fine dining enthusiasts. No one receives financial gain from this guide, and there is no external financial support.

Sources of Recommendations

Restaurants listed on this platform are sourced from the Fine Dining Network WhatsApp chat and the YPO Connect feed, as well as in-app submissions from registered users of this platform.

Moderation

Moderation is limited to verifying that the database entry for a user-added venue has been captured correctly and categorised appropriately. Submissions that have not yet been reviewed will still be visible on the platform, but may display a notice stating "Subject to Admin verification".

Beyond this, all user submissions are treated as valid recommendations made in good faith. Entries will not be removed by an Admin unless they are deemed outside the scope of this platform (for example, a submission that is not a dining establishment and can reasonably be assumed to have been submitted in error), or if removal is requested by the user who submitted it.

Users who disagree with the inclusion of a particular establishment can use the "flag" option on the detail card. The same applies to restaurants that may be incorrectly categorised, or where information is inaccurate.

Personal Data

To keep access exclusive to Fine Dining Network members, and to allow users to personalise their content, each user will be assigned a unique login profile. The data collected to create this profile is the user's name, YPO chapter, and email address. Each user will be assigned a temporary password and will receive an email with a link to create their own password.

Login details (email and temporary password) are visible only to authorised, authenticated Admins. Users are not permitted to share these details with anyone else.

Visible to others

The following data will be visible to other logged-in, authenticated members:

• Your restaurant reviews and ratings, along with your name and YPO chapter.
• Your "recommended" (thumbs up) votes will be visible when other users open the venue detail to see who recommended a particular place (that is, other users will be able to see everyone who recommended that place).

For your eyes only

Your bucket list, saved places, and visited places are visible only to you.

Data storage method

All data is stored in a cloud-hosted database with encryption at rest and in transit, and is accessible only to authorised, authenticated Admins.
